As many of you know, I will be leaving for Asia in 22 short days, embarking on a missions trip that will span from May 26th to June 28th. This will be focused on ministering to children through character-building seminars led by the Institute for Basic Life Principles, a Christian organization founded by Bill Gothard.
The excitement around this trip has been building ever since I first received an invitation from IBLP asking me to consider applying as a teacher for the Southeast Asia trip. Before too long, my parents gave me the go-ahead and I sent in my application. I answered the call from IBLP headquarters in Chicago and listened breathlessly as they informed me that I was accepted to go on the trip!
God is so good to allow me the opportunity to serve Him overseas this summer. I can't wait to see how He uses this not only to minister to others through me, but also how my soul and spirit can be challenged to greater heights and deeper depths in Christ. The fields are white and the harvest is ready... now where are the laborers?
Please keep me in your prayers both as I prepare for this trip and while I am gone. I will be updating this page as often as possible while I am gone, making it possible for you all back here to know what is going on and pray for the team as we make advances for Christ on the other side of the globe.
Called to Christ,
Lewis
P.S. - Feel free to comment on my posts. Any feedback would be appreciated :-)
Amen! Let us pray BOTH for the laborers and for the 100 "harvests"!
